I have dabbled with various peelers in the past. All had narrow handles and the working end was not very wide. I've almost come to the conclusion that all air purifiers have these limitations. No longer. KitchenAid all-purpose cleaners break the rules. The handles are strong - compared to other vegetable peelers, these knives have a wide handle - about the size of a wooden spoon. That's a nice improvement. And the blades match the strong handles. The blades are about three inches wide—they can effortlessly slice through large blocks of cheese and quickly cut through carrots, potatoes, and even melons. This set contains three different cleaning knives: In addition to the normal straight knife, there is one for julienne and one called "serrated". The tooth peeler is designed for soft-skinned fruit. Each peeler comes with a blade sheath. It's a nice improvement - if you're like me sometimes you can find something by sticking your hand in a toolbox and looking for what you're looking for. With a lid, these scissors will at least not find your searching fingers. The only improvement I would make to these knives is to stamp the knife type - smooth, julienne, serrated for easy cleaning. to identify. There are three knives in this set, each with a different colored handle, but if you're in a hurry to get a knife it would be nice to know which one you're looking for without removing the lid. These knives are sharp. They feel good in the hand and show a quality that other knives only dream of.
