Purchased to replace an ankle brace purchased at WalMart that was not tight enough to provide the support needed . This brace offers much more support from the straps and offers the ability to adjust the support and/or place the straps in different places around the ankle depending on which area needs support. The bandage retains a comfortable amount of heat but my foot didn't get a sweat from normal use (I wore it during exercise and my foot/ankle area was very sweaty but so was the rest of me!) I'm getting older and trying getting back in shape can be tough on ankles. This brace helped me get over the initial (and unusually severe) ankle pain to (literally) land on the run.
