This doorstop is the most expensive doorstop I have ever bought, but it's worth it! It's still expensive in my opinion, but it's worth it! I've added photos to show why I bought it in the first place and how it helped me in my situation. My door is solid wood and every time my dog came in from outside he opened the door with such force that he wobbled and got caught in the wood structure above the door preventing the door from moving any further. The wood cracked under the pressure, and it kept happening. My husband always seemed to forget to close the door when he wanted to bring the dog and that would solve the problem if I didn't have to spend money on the item, but he said he always forgot! 🤨🤨🤨 And I didn't want any further damage to the existing wooden structure. I mounted the doorstop high on the woodwork rather than the bottom of the door because that seemed to give the best stopping power at the top. So it's like a piece of furniture for a door. It's durable, which is what I need for a heavy solid door. The antique brass color matches my bolt and handle perfectly! I have an old house from 1949 and the color matches the rest of the house perfectly. This item is easy to install because I made it myself! I drilled a hole in a wooden structure and screwed the base to the tree. Easy!😍 Even a woman can handle it! I am very satisfied with this product, as you can see in one of my photos my door no longer swings back and gets stuck in the pieces of wood. Thank you for offering such an excellent item that I doubt I would have found at Home Depot or Menards! IJS. 😊
