Review on ViewSonic XG270Q with DisplayHDR - Ergonomic 2560x1440P Monitor with 165Hz, Built-In Speakers, Tilt and Swivel Adjustments by Ketut Crazzcool

Tolerable backlight bleeding?

I'm not sure I believe in the existence of a non-backlit monitor. The first monitor sent had a slight flare in the lower left and right corners. It bothered me so much that two weeks later I asked for a replacement. The replacement sent had stronger backlight bleeding and some rattling in the monitor. I sent the replacement back with the idea of exploring other monitors and moving on from ViewSonic. After a week of research I decided I didn't really want to return it and decided to keep the original monitor with minimal backlight distortion. You kind of get used to it. When playing a game with a lot of darkness, I notice it a little, but not to the point where it bothers me "too much". Would I buy this monitor again? Maybe, but that's because I always buy ViewSonic. Other than that, this is a great, solidly built monitor. If you buy one, order it, then request another, compare and send back the worst one or both. I have one left and am happy enough to give it 4 stars because I believe an "ELITE" monitor should not have backlight distortion, but maybe that's just wishful thinking.
