I recently bought a couple of these closed and riveted to replace the transom on the boat. I bought them and another brand of the same rivets because I didn't want to do the job twice. I ended up not using any of these rivets because they were very easy to knock out compared to them, meaning the effort required for my two-handed rivet gun was much less than another brand. To me that means only one thing, they are made of a much softer metal. If you only have a pistol grip rivet gun this might be for you, but if you have a heavy duty two handed rivet gun look elsewhere as there are much stronger rivets out there.
