Review on ASUS VA249HE 1080P Monitor: Experience Crisp Visuals and Wide Viewing Angle on a 23.8" Touch Screen Display at 60Hz by Sean Fleming

I bought it with a 40% discount, so I took that into account in the review. Firstly, the package was properly sealed with no damage to the box and arrived on time (2 days first class delivery). It came in a box with the product so I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving it outside for a long time. The good news is that this was known at the time of purchase. The monitor has a solid base, and the edges and base are glossy. This attracts a lot of dust and also easily shows scratches; I tried wiping some fingerprints off the case installation and it left a few scratches. It's okay, but not quite perfect either. The inputs on the back are well labeled, but the HDMI input is a bit cramped. The power cord is also a bit short (probably only 3 feet). The settings icons are intuitive and it is very easy to enter them into the settings, making setup very quick. When I first turned it on and connected it to my PS4 I had to set it to HDMI as it was VGA by default. I bought it primarily because I have an Asus monitor and it works really well. Also, the built-in speakers were important so I could enjoy games without additional cables from external speakers and I didn't have to wear a headset all the time. The sound quality is ok, but I had to really turn the volume up (65/100) to hear the sound. Overall the monitor does its job and is definitely worth what I paid for it.
