Review on 🧽 Bar Keepers Friend Powdered Cleanser (12-Ounces, 2-Pack) – Highly Effective Cleaning Solution for multiple surfaces by Todd Casey

This cleaner works wonders on my stainless steel pots and pans - they look brand new when polished with Bar Keepers Friend. I also recently discovered that it can be used to polish porcelain. I rent an old house (built in 1950), it still has the original sink in the kitchen. The sink has lost all of its protective clear coat over the years and will soak up anything that gets in and leave nasty stains (e.g. coffee, wine, tomato sauce). I decided to try this bartender friend in it and couldn't believe I was able to perfectly clean the sink and remove all the discoloration! After cleaning with Bar Keepers, I sealed the surface with a clear acrylic spray (I used this spray: Rust-Oleum 7701830 Stops Rust Spray Paint, 12 oz, Gloss Crystal Clear). The sink now looks like new! As a side note, if you have never used this product before, I highly recommend wearing gloves when using it. Otherwise your hands can become very dry and even flaky (I learned this the hard way). Also, I've found that you get the best results by using a damp sponge that has been wrung out (so it's just damp) and applying dry powder to it. If necessary, gradually add a small amount of water until you get the desired consistency. Stubborn stains are easiest to remove if they have a pasty consistency (almost like toothpaste).
