Works well overall but sometimes fails to connect requiring device restart. The biggest problem is that you cannot control or change the hole you are playing. On several occasions I found that the footage showed the adjacent hole and not the one I was playing on. Without the ability to change the hole on the device, you're stuck until the device returns to where you are on course. The greatest need for yards comes when you're on the other fairway and blind to the hole, so that's a real disadvantage. I was in the trees on my home track #9 which runs parallel to #1. When I looked at the distance meter I found that it read the distance to #1. Manual overriding should be easy to add, or even logic to the code where it understands that I played holes #1 through #8 and started at #9, so asking for footage for #1 would be counterintuitive. I don't use voice control so can't comment but for the price it's a good option for the casual golfer just looking for a front/middle/rear of the course.
