Installation exactly as expected, you will need to line up the wires on the new head unit harness with the wires on the Metra LC-GMRC-01 interface, documentation is present quite easy. I made connections and temporarily insulated them with tape, tested the new radio and truck horn. Thermal insulation tape for professional finishes, I think electrical tape will do, but it tends to disintegrate over time when the car's interior reaches 120 degrees if left outside in the sun. These are the wire solder connectors I used https://www.amazon. com/dp/B07C3NBTJ9 and harness tape https://www.amazon. com/gp/product/B01I2MLN2Q As far as I can tell the interface retains ALL the truck sounds, I am very happy with this purchase. Note that my Trailblazer used to be an undercover police unit, so it didn't have fancy Bose audio/amp or even an analog amp. I think you need an amp bypass or other interface for digital or analog amp models.
