I had to install aftermarket on my 2003 Silverado. I needed suspension and wanted to keep all my calls and features for my main work truck. It worked great. It didn't get any easier. You must connect all harness wires to aftermarket harness wires. If you can match colors and follow instructions, you can do it. My used GM car came with an aftermarket radio that was hard wired with the radio plug removed on the side of the car.
