I had to install aftermarket on my 2003 Silverado. I needed suspension and wanted to keep all my calls and features for my main work truck. It worked great. It didn't get any easier. You must connect all harness wires to aftermarket harness wires. If you can match colors and follow instructions, you can do it. Then just connect all the wiring harnesses and connect the wiring harness to the radio and if you did everything right it will work great. I had no problems and my ignition horn works, the radio goes off when I open the door etc. Done. You can spend more money but it works well. There's no reason to buy another harness and interface unless you just want to throw your money out the window.
