It's true that you get what you pay for. These scissors are sharp on the tip but difficult to make large cuts. The scissors are difficult to open and close and put extra pressure on your thumb and forefinger. The angle would be better if the scissors were shorter. Maybe I'm just new to appliqué cutting, but shorter double curved scissors would be less clumsy in my opinion. I am spoiled with the Kai scissors which I use daily for fabric cutting and trimming. Today I ordered 7100 Kai to replace as the return period has expired. They will be recycled. Lesson learned.
