First let me say that I really like this radar and I'll explain why. I use this radar on my motorcycle and it's perfect. My idea was to have one that I can hear even when I'm on a motorbike and I bought it before, it didn't connect to the phone and I couldn't hear the alerts. I bought this and connected it to my iPhone via Bluetooth in the headset and now I can hear all notifications as well as music and calls. I'm very glad that Cobra came up with this idea of connecting the radar to the phone (and also that the iPhone connects to Bluetooth and iRadar at the same time). Now I have the best settings for my motorcycle rides. Radar detector, GPS, music and I can take calls, plus I hear everything via Bluetooth on my helmet! Excellent! Now I'm going to talk about radar: I live in an area where there are no hills anywhere and everything is flat. So my experience is that my radar picks up signals from far away. Some people may say that this radar doesn't detect from a distance, but like I said, that's not my cup of tea. Sometimes I'm scared and after 30 seconds I see the police. I don't know how far it is, but I have enough time to slow down if I'm going a little too fast. I don't use that for speeding, but I want to make sure I don't get a ticket if I don't realize I've exceeded the speed limit, and this radar works really well for me. The only complaint I have with this radar is that for some reason I get laser alerts in my area, but I haven't seen a single cop anywhere every time I have an alert. I'm not sure why he's warning me about the laser and not the cops nearby. Despite that complaint, I love how this radar helps me stay alert to nearby cops, connecting it to my phone and hearing the sound on my helmet. Conclusion: This is a very good radar for those who need to connect by phone or want to enjoy the benefits of connecting a phone and hearing notifications via Bluetooth. This definitely isn't the best metal detector compared to all the other models, but it will do the job you need if you don't use it to speed up, and that way you'll have time to slow down if you hit the limit , but not too many miles per hour. It's cheap but very well designed and very easy to use with the iPhone app. The benefits of connecting this radar to your phone and Bluetooth and hearing all alerts through the headset are phenomenal. I will recommend it to everyone without exception!
