I have bought several RODE microphones and have always been impressed! They make a great product that will last a long time. I recently bought a DSLR and was looking for a great gun mic for it so I bought this one. Look no further than this gun microphone! Pros: - Excellent sound quality - Connects well to a DSLR camera - 9V battery ALWAYS lasts! I accidentally left it on overnight (12 hours until I found out) and it still had hours and hours of life left! - The battery produces better sound quality than a basic lavCons mic: - It's big on my small DSLR (Rebel Ti6), but it helps with the great sound quality - no 9 volt battery. my misunderstanding of the description but it should contain one!
