I can't say where the weak points are.

is NOT the best I've used. Of course the finish looks smooth, but usually with a leather strap like this you can tell where the weak spots are, and weak spots always exist. After all, leather isn't infinite, it has to be made out of skin, and when the coil appears infinite it's pretty obvious that the pieces have been spliced together. In general, weak points in weaving can be addressed with such good leather cord, but if you can't tell where they are, you'll end up breaking your cord and ruining the whole project on a whim. The uniform thickness is better than some I've used which vary wildly in actual girth, but I'd rather be able to tell where the joints are.

Pros
  • Kraft
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
