Maybe I should have read the product description because it said 30lbs max weight. Tbh by the time the kid is old enough to use this stool they are probably at or near the weight limit. However, I don't expect it to be usable for very long or for many purposes. Tbh, one of those cheap plastic stools will last longer. It literally broke in half the first time I sat on it. My advice: Spend the extra $10 on another one made out of wood that can hold more weight...or just go for the cheap plastic one.
