I've been playing ice hockey for about 3 years, I started when I was an adult. I turned my fingers black and blue and tried to tie my skates tight enough in front of the skate only to loosen them when I loosened even the slightest tension on the laces. It was a big pain and I was never able to get any kind of stability in the shoe. Then, on the recommendation of a teammate, I bought these wax laces. WOW! Wonderful. The skates remain very tight throughout the game. It took me a few games to get used to it, but now I'll never turn back. The boots now fit perfectly every time and I notice that I don't get as tired after a shift or a game. I think the main reason for this is better energy transfer to the ice and not losing some of that energy through traditional laces. Seriously, my entire team is using these laces now and they all love them. Buy them and give them some games. You will be in love.
