Our dog loves canoeing or kayaking. She has outgrown her old life jacket, which she never really liked. She seems much happier with it. Preferences: - Dog allowed. I mean, she doesn't actually wear anything, but she likes this design a lot more than her previous buoyancy vest. The design gives the dogs freedom of movement. We love how this vest is cut to give you plenty of legroom in the front and back. This is similar to how life jackets vary for people depending on their activity; Kayakers want unrestricted arm movement, so their tent vests have large arm openings. The seating position is also comfortable for our dog in this vest. We took a 2 hour walk on the lake and she seemed much happier in this new life jacket. - Nice comfortable handle perfect for getting your crazy pup out of the water. Dislikes: - No serious complaints so far. Maybe the front closure could be improved a bit in the next design? That's not bad, see below: On the front buckle/clasp, this helps ensure excess material flows smoothly down the buckle (and even into the slot, depending on how small your dog is). Basically, there is an extra material next to the buckle to protect his skin from buckle rash, etc. It's designed to keep your pup comfortable while still allowing for size adjustment. Ensuring it's tucked away neatly helps with fit and comfort.
