Looking back, I would not have bought this 20/20. This caused an injury and our little birdie girl could have lost a leg after being pinned. The washers fit snugly in the cage. We've found that girls tend to keep sitting on the bar for no good reason. One day I came home and in horror a small bird's leg got stuck on top and it was hanging upside down. Of course, the gap between the washers is big enough for a finch's foot, but not for a finch's foot. I bought a corner bass because I wanted my finches to sleep "outside the nest" so they stop breeding. It turns out that a row of silk vines is a great place for them, secluded and "nesting". We got it after the fact and it's nice to see them pulling leaves to get comfortable. If I had to do this job I would wrap rubber bands around the screws inside instead of using washers. This improves ground clearance.
