Yes, after a little tweaking, it's a dandy!

We have a lot of cast iron from several companies but I've never heard of Nutrichef. (I wanted to use another brand starting with "L"; (no, it's not a word meaning "big hunting lodge" but more like "folklore hero") :) ) It turns out that our last company and Nutrichef using EXACTLY the same images To promote what appears to be the exact same skillet I'm not sure if either is the maker of this item or both are renaming this item but to save a few bucks I decided me to take a chance and go with Nutrichef as they looked identical The item arrived safe and well packaged and went straight to the workshop where with the help of some pads of 40 grit sandpaper on a random orbit sander and lots of elbow grease I sanded most of it of the gritty texture on a flat surface. I used a few finer grit on the sides of the pan to remove the hit marks and I had a much improved, albeit bare, metallo surface. th. So he went in the oven at 350 for a couple of cycles with coconut oil and then another or two at 400. Have already tested this pup 4 or 5 times in the last 2 weeks all on a flat electric stove. After a learning curve getting the elements up to the right temperature, this thing worked like a charm! Ideal for bacon, pancakes and grilled cheese. I only used the flat side and really didn't see much use from the other side, but couldn't be happier with this thing. It's a beast but if I had any complaints it would be that maybe it could be another 2 inches wider to make 6 decent pancakes at once. However, this would add significant weight and likely reduce the utility of the extra surface area. So overall this is a great addition to my cast iron fetish and will surely have many uses!
