I have a 2002 Frontier King Cab. I have a tool box in the cab. Sometimes I have a heavy load on my back, like firewood. I have such a load that the springs are reversed and the axle rests on the axle pads. I'm happy to report that with these spring helpers, that's no longer a problem. The bed can only be folded down a little. The platform does not "bend" even when driving on railway tracks with a high load. Riding unloaded is a bit more difficult, but the extra support for heavier loads is worth it. I actually think it will help my truck last longer as there is a lot less wear and tear with heavier loads. I've tried airbags in the past which worked for a while but eventually the rubber went bad and they wouldn't hold the air anymore. They should last for the same amount of time as the truck.
