If the unit has been transported or stored lying down or generally on an incline, it MUST remain unplugged for a few hours, compressor oil will seep into the refrigerant lines and will need to be disconnected and returned to the compressor where it belongs. If you plug it in beforehand, the oil will circulate with the coolant and clog the lines and pollute the entire fridge. I left mine outside for 24 hours for safety reasons not knowing how to store or transport it. I would recommend at least 4 hours minimum, I'm sure most of the low reviews that said their fridge stopped working after a day or a few days would not have had any problems if they kept the liquids for a few hours would have left standing. , Be patient! Mine has been working great for several years, very satisfied!, no problems at all! Have the fridge unplugged, even if it just moves or tilts (better safe than sorry)! I have a 2 door model, that's all!
