Despite all the suggestions that it is suitable for an aquarium, it has been working in my marine installation for two weeks now and works perfectly. It's very sensitive and responsive, and the temperature change flashes in a split second. One caveat: to get a Fahrenheit reading from the set degrees Celsius you need to remove a SMALL jumper wire inside. No operation, it is open and visible, but it slipped and fell into the device when I tried to remove it. I was concerned that this might cause a short on the board, but no problems so far. Remove it carefully with tweezers or very small needle nose pliers. I connected it to a 5V USB adapter I bought from Revain and it works great.
