This is a beautiful addition to our home bar! I prefer red wine but my husband and some of our friends prefer white wine. Since I don't usually think about having white wine ready to serve, this chill stick is great for keeping it handy and ready to use. Simply chill the stick in the freezer, place in a bottle of wine and serve. The spout makes pouring easy and drip-free. The Griff fridge is something of a conversation piece. Everyone wants to know where we got this from. I've found this works best if you put it in a wine bottle for a few minutes before first pouring, but it's a little chilly even if you use it right away. It will not drastically transform room temperature wine into fully chilled wine straight from the fridge. The optimal temperature for serving white wine is between 49 and 55 degrees, which is significantly warmer than my fridge (which is set at 39 degrees). After use, it is easy to wash and can be put back in the freezer. I would recommend this as a lovely gift to a wine lover, someone who has a home bar, or someone entertaining friends and family. This is a great size and shape for stuffing stockings!
