I bought this vacuum pump to provide a Buchner suction funnel for fine filtration of the ethanol recovery through the DE precipitate. I used to use the pump built into the Source Turbo unit, which I use to reduce and regenerate alcohol. So far I've only used paper filters and read that the Source pump isn't good for pumping vacuum through diatomaceous earth, so I did some research and bought this little homesprit. internal pump (which is stunning!). An easy buy recommendation for anyone who wants to bypass Source Turbo to filter your extraction.
