Review on 🌿 Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Liquid Dish Soap - Lavender Scent, Cruelty Free Formula (16oz) by Dawn Jones

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Best soap for removing grease and easy rinsing Poor EWG health/environment ratings

Meyer's Clean Day Dish Soap with Honeysuckle smells great and doesn't bother my allergies. The soap handles grease better than other brands I usually use such as B.Method. It also rinses off easily. Meyer's is concentrated, so a little goes a long way, but the bottle lasts a long time. I bought a 6 pack about 7 months ago and have a few bottles left. I would say that 6 bottles of dish soap lasts at least a year in our house considering we use the dishwasher but hand wash the pots/pans and pre-wash the dishes. The downside is that EWG provided the last four lineups. Rated "D", and the ingredients remain almost the same as the recipe with the last rating. Meyer Dishwashing Liquid also has a "D” rating for Fragrances (irritant and aquatic toxicity), PEG 5 Cocoate (cancer, irritation, eye damage) and Methylisothiazolinone (acute aquatic toxicity). It still contains 'C' rated SLS, Polysorbate 20, Lauramine Oxide, Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate and more. The last dishwashing detergent I bought, Method, also received an EEC "D” rating. I would rate this Meyer's dishwashing detergent 5 stars for effectiveness, but I'm deducting 2 stars for EWG health and environmental risks. 3 stars.
