Maybe it's just my heads (LS1 241) but this one didn't tighten enough to release the detents to remove the springs. It only allows about 1/4 inch before it touches the head and cannot be compressed any further. In hindsight, to save time and hassle, I had to pay extra money for a brand that you know works.
