Review on 🐷 Tovolo Tea Ball Loose Leaf Strainer Cup Mug Infuser - Convenient, Dishwasher Safe, Adorable Pig Design! by Vishal Geske

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Overall a good product with very few flaws

As a big lover of loose tea, I'm looking for a clean and easy way to brew tea when I'm not at home. I'm a nurse, so something that requires minimal handling also goes a long way. I used to buy Teavana glasses with a tea strainer and found it very messy. That seemed like a good alternative to me, so I gave it a try. In general, this is a reliable device. My only complaints: - hard to fill. I basically had to wrap my fingers around the top and turn my fingers into a makeshift funnel to pour the tea in - it was very hard to pour out afterwards. It has a sort of squeezing mechanism that's great for herbal teas and extracting every last drop, but it also compresses it and makes it difficult to squeeze out without a knife or something to squeeze it out. Even then, you need to rinse thoroughly to preserve the tea. I really don't see a better solution to both of these problems without sacrificing other important features so I won't give it a score below four but still the factors that make it difficult to work in the public (and for me in the hospital) . My only option is to just leave the tea in the infuser until I get home and then clean it.

Pros
  • DETACHABLE BASE: The base unscrews for easy filling and cleaning. Silicone seals when closed to keep the tea leaves inside the tea ball. The tea ball is easy to open and close, so you can quickly enjoy your tea and easily wash it out after brewing.
Cons
  • Unsure
