The lights I received are definitely not white but have a light purple effect. I've been using them for about two years and they seem to be holding up so far. I used them to attach a license plate to the left side of the bumper on my 1986 Chevy M1028 CUCV. In the place of the works number, there is a rotary coupling on these trucks. I am not happy with the LEDs on my car, they look out of place and are too noticeable. What I like is that the LEDs make it difficult to read the license plate. It's still lit, so what can anyone say about that? I was under the impression that they would not rust, but the threads and nuts on the back are all rusty now. They most likely won't survive if they are removed to replace the plate so I ordered an extra set to have on hand as they are pretty cheap. Hopefully they don't start flickering like the LEDs I always see on risers, I really can't stand it.
