Review on HHIP 1006 0011 Inch Indexable Mill by Dave Cavazos

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The smallest of the three end mills uses a DIFFERENT SIZE insert

These come with inserts. But if, like me, you want to order replacement earbuds, there's something they don't tell you in the product description. The smaller 1" router does NOT use the TPG-322 inserts you mentioned. It requires smaller TPG-222 inserts. That issue aside, they look well made and seem to work properly on my mini rig. I look forward to using them. When I discovered this problem (I ordered TPG-322 inserts with this order) I wanted to order some inserts that fit the 1" router. But I am confused which size to take. When I tried to measure the stakes, I got even more confused. They are described as having a diameter of 0.375 inches. But the sides of the triangular cutter are LARGER, almost 0.577 inches. So I started searching the internet for information on how these cutters are named and defined. Triangle without overhanging the edges. Thus, the inserts required for the larger of these cutters, TPG-322, meet this specification. For the smaller TPG-222, the inner circle/diameter size is .250.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other end mills
