These shoes were very comfortable immediately after purchase, fit well and were comfortable to wear all day without breaking in. I ordered my regular size 11W and they fit my E width foot well and they true to size. One of the reasons I bought them was because I hurt my toe and wanted to wear comfortable shoes while it heals. , and in those days I mostly wore open sandals. These shoes worked well and I had no problems with them. I didn't have any problems with my toe when the injury healed. The only downside, and this is a very small downside where health issues can be an issue, is that these shoes are the most basic piece of clothing I've ever had. They're not very attractive, but function is more important than form. So for anyone who needs wide, comfortable shoes and has no problem getting dressed, I recommend these.
