A good hard drive for the price. Thanks to the large capacity, you can store a lot of data. I've read reviews from other well-known brands of drives that say the drives get very hot when writing data. I chose this product because there are no negative reviews about it. In my experience, all discs are hot to the touch as they generate heat. When writing large amounts of data to this drive, it heats up, but not by much since other drives have been tested. I'm a Linux user and found that the drive doesn't work well when using the format (Fat32) of the drive. I formatted my diary to ext4 which uses a newer version of Linux which doesn't like the Windows OS at all (at least not 8.1 or older - I don't use Windows 10 so I don't know if it works with it). The drive cannot be used on my older Windows PCs as they all have non-Type C USB ports and I don't need to use it with them as I have USB sticks specifically for them. All in all it's a good drive with good storage capacity for lots of data and a household name (PNY) that's been around for a while and at a good price.
