Review on 🐟 EHEIM Everyday Fish Feeder: Programmable Automatic Food Dispenser for Effortless Feeding by Michelle Larson

Reliable, easy to set up - much better for my tank than breaking up food blocks!

This battery powered little wonder saved me a lot of worry when my husband and I finally set out on the two week trip we had been planning for ages. It's easy to set the time and easily schedule one to multiple feedings per day. Easily calibrate how much food is delivered; Fill the chamber, choose the size of the opening, place it on a paper towel and press the button to see how much food comes out (first time often differs from later amounts as the chamber rotates and the must take food). eat first). Depending on the size of the fish food pellets and the size of the hole you have installed, this can distribute a small amount of food through a large amount of food. So far I've loaded the unit four times, each time with a different size of food, and have had no problem adjusting it to deliver the right amount of food each time. I'm sure it can feed small fish for over a month if opened properly; I have large (8-14 inch) goldfish in my own tank so we fill them up more often. Very useful device! I've been using this wonderful gadget for a few months now and I've learned a lot of new things to share. 1) Testing the amount of feed to be dispensed is difficult, but worth the extra time it takes to recreate. Large feed pellets may need to be fed by programming one of the repeats after a minute or so - the small chamber to store the amount to be stored The feed chamber is quite small so it cannot hold dozens of large pellets by adjusting the size of the feed chamber opening , control how much feed is dispensed 2) Dispense the right amount of new feed. 3) My fish are too big to use flake food so I'm not sure how to recommend the correct amount settings. 4) You may need to play around with the placement of the feeder a bit in relation to the through hole. what food will fall. I have a 75 gallon tank and removed a 1.5" glass top plastic spacer in one corner to make room for food going into my tank. (My device sits right on top of the glass lid and I didn't have to use the attachments that came with it.) I learned that this food hole should be some distance away from my large air stones (the aerosol sometimes caused the food to clump together). on the edge of the tank cap) and that the unit could accidentally hit and move when I open the tank cap, causing the fish food to fall onto the glass lid a couple of times and once after a really BIG hit the food onto the back of the sofa cushions (our dogs found the fish food a surprise, a delicious treat). Track how full the feed room is; When the level is low, less feed tends to be dispensed per drop than when the chamber is freshly filled.
