Doesn't lay flat on table

The product breaks quite easily, but I don't like that it doesn't lie completely flat on the table (slight tossing). I love the fact that it comes in 3 different widths, but I think because it can accommodate such wide items you have to push the paper very far into the punch. It seems wasteful since it punches through so much paper, but what annoys me more is that with text on a strip of paper, it's almost impossible to tell where it's going to punch unless you flip the punch, so you can actually see the punching area and for me it's difficult to actually pierce the item. I will use this item but if I had to remake it
