Nice matte finish, looks more expensive than its price. Sturdy construction except for the base. I really only have 3 complaints - 1) the base is very light and thin, wish it was bigger and 2) the cord is very short, about 3ft and 3) the top corner of the handle next to the on/off button socket become very hot when poured immediately after turning off (steam escapes through the holes around the knob). I didn't realize the cord was so short and now I have to get an extension for it which is a bummer. When pouring right after boiling, hold the handle in the middle, not at the top. Generally minor issues. For $25, it's hard to complain too much. This product serves its purpose and looks good.
