I bought this kettle because I bought another one with temperature control from the same manufacturer. The outside of the kettle is plastic, I like the double walls and stainless steel inside. I ordered one from another manufacturer but found 1 piece was missing inside the kettle. This is a very good kettle for the money, much better than some of the more expensive kettles I've looked at in stores before ordering. Having personally compared many kettles I've compiled a list of the features I need and this one almost fits the bill.
