Thoroughly dry all outdoor lights before storing them for the season

I use my lights all the time in December. Finally, condensate collects in the pipes. I recommend removing the caps from the ends of the pipes and letting them dry completely for a few days before storing for the season. The humidity didn't seem to affect the performance of the lamps, but it was a particularly wet and rainy Christmas. They appear to be working well despite the moisture that has built up in the pipes. I use lights as an accent on my balcony so they didn't have much protection. If you use a door light you should have absolutely no problem. When using lanterns outdoors, it is best to hang them below the roofline eaves to protect them from the elements. To be honest, I've replaced my Christmas lights that I've been using for a number of years with beautiful meteor lights. I love them so much I would love to buy extra bulbs next Christmas. I don't know if my situation is unique, but my experience was wonderful. I couldn't wait to get home to see my lights again. I don't know if other people have had the same experience as me but it was the best I could buy. I also had doubts about the multicolor pattern. From a distance it looks like it's just the perfect design. Unfortunately there was no good photo to share.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
