Review on 🚴 Topeak Aero Wedge Velcro Pack: Streamlined and Secure Storage Solution for Cyclists by Phil Morales

About a year ago I bought 2 larger versions of this bag and gave them 5 stars in my review. I still use one regularly and gave the other one to my daughter when she started cycling. I bought 2 of these medium sized bags and they are the same great construction bags with one small but important exception - the seatpost strap. When my 2 medium bags arrived today I put one on my Giant Defy Advanced Pro bike and the straps worked perfectly to attach it to the seat rails. However, when I wrapped the seatpost strap around my bike's seatpost, the Velcro only overlapped about 1/8 inch. The strap itself was a few inches longer, but the Velcro on the strap barely touched. If my seat post was a much larger diameter it would have been fine but that never presented a problem when using the large version of this bag on the same bike. The second medium sized bag I received today was for a friend mine who rides on a trek bike and had the exact same issue. The bag fit well under the seat, but the velcro seemed to be in the wrong place on the seatpost strap, so it only overlapped about 1/8 inch. The first time we hit a hill as it wasn't securely fortified. I plan to return both bags on Monday and order 2 large bags to replace. I don't know if this was a design issue or a manufacturing defect with the seatpost straps. In addition, these are great bags that are very affordable, made of good materials, and have well thought-out features.
