**October 2019 update** All my carpets are dark grey. I've had the rugs for over a year now and thought I should update my review. One rug is in a room with large windows and gets direct Arizona sun for 5 hours a day. I keep the couch covered to protect it. I just moved the couch and the carpet hasn't discolored. No fading! I love these rugs! I The other day my cat got sick and vomited on the carpet with an unpleasant green color. I washed out the liquid and let the scale dry. The next day, after a good vacuum, everything was weathered and there were no stains left! Oooh! I also use the hammer like a carpet when vacuuming. I haven't had any problems yet and am an aggressive vacuum cleaner. You will love these rugs. I just bought another one. In the last two months I have bought five rugs from the Solid Shag collection. I didn't have any odor or constant turning issues as mentioned in other reviews. The carpets were plush and lay flat after a few hours. Received my fifth mat today. I noticed the weight difference immediately. After I vacuumed the carpet and took a closer look, I noticed a few more differences. The new carpet is called the SOLO Collection. It appears thinner, has a solid back color, does not lie flat, and is fragrant. The SOLID SHAG collection features a multi-colored backing and a wide elastic band around the edge to add weight and keep the mat in place. If you don't need a carpet, you may have gotten the wrong product. I have included photos of two rugs for easy comparison.
