This device openly lies about the features and operating system on the device. The device says it's Android 8.1, but when you tap it to reveal the Oreo logo, it shows Nougat. Additionally, if you use another device reporting app like Aida64 instead of the pre-installed Antutu, you'll find that it clearly reports that it's running Android 7.0. You CANNOT update this device. There is no update option in settings. You may be able to disassemble it completely to get the card number to find updates or firmware files for it, but I wouldn't bother. It barely manages Android 7.0 Nougat. I don't think this device actually has 4GB of storage. I think it's probably 2GB, but in fact it's probably only 1GB. It can't handle simple Youtube videos and people who say they can are lying about their experiences. Now I just bought this device to use as an OBS remote to stream to Twitch/Mixer/Youtube etc. I'm still a little uncomfortable that a factory reset will bring you back to the home screen with no setup screens.
