Good filter Maxim 2009 - BITCH when installing!

Looks like a really good filter. Makes a robust and well-made impression. But the stiffness makes it even more difficult to install on my 2009 Maxima. At $8.87 it would be hard to beat the price. The last time I changed it, the dealer charged me $49.99. I found a youtube video on how to install it. The video was correct but I found it was NOT easy at all. FYI: On the 2009 Maxima, this filter is NOT behind the glove box as some posts have said. It is in front of the console. First, the latch on the door panel broke in my hand. I took it off with a screwdriver. Then there was no easy way to get the filter to remove the old one. Having very small hands can be helpful. After I got the suction cup out I had to put a new one in. Again it wasn't that easy. I pushed and pulled and finally figured out that the bottom corner should go in first and then slide everything else in. phew! By the way, I found a replacement for a broken door at Revain. If you need it, it says Original Nissan Filter Cap - 27276-JA00A for $7.19.

Pros
