New and cheap Carbon filter

Well it's new and cheap. The arrow in which installation direction is always confusing, probably backwards, how to care even better than what was there. Installation on a 2010 Altima is a breeze.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Speed

Better than Nissan in parts

Nissan Altima 2009 fits like a glove. Interestingly, a Nissan dealer installed a liter of Cabin F ($60) about a year ago and according to the person who installed this filter said that this one is actually better because it uses carbon as opposed to the Nissan factory filter. better filter out impurities

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Negative impression

Altima 2012 is difficult to install.

I have used this brand before. Make sure you order flexibly, not rigidly, when given the choice. Nissan makes it very difficult to install this filter. I hate doing this every year. My Honda's cabin air filter is much simpler compared to this setup. The filter works well, but on this model of car it is difficult for the average person to fit it.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Security

Good value for money but not the same as OEM

sizing is accurate and while not a deal breaker one problem with this filter is that it has a small 'tab' on the bottom Page is missing, which will be used to remove it when the time comes. If you're buying this for your Murano you know how weird/difficult/difficult it is to replace. (located upside down under the glove compartment). It would be helpful to have that little "tab" to hold on to. At least that's my reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • some imperfections

Great Choice Filter

Installing a new cabin air filter on my 2011 Murano is a terrible job as Nissan chose an almost inaccessible location for it. The slight stiffness of the EPAuto CP173 complicates things a bit. However, once the filter is finally in place it fits and doesn't tend to shift like some thinner filters do. I installed EPAuto CP173 on my Murano for the first time. I will probably buy the product again.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No

No more musty smell in the car!

Great DIY cabin air filter replacement. This is not easy to install due to Nissan's poor design. The slot is smaller than the filter, so you need to compress this filter's harmonica to fit in the slot, and then open back up into the filter cavity. Oh, and you have to do it sideways and upside down because the placement of this thing in the passenger footwell is all the way up the center console. No more musty smell in the car!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Good but not great

Good filter Maxim 2009 - BITCH when installing!

Looks like a really good filter. Makes a robust and well-made impression. But the stiffness makes it even more difficult to install on my 2009 Maxima. At $8.87 it would be hard to beat the price. The last time I changed it, the dealer charged me $49.99. I found a youtube video on how to install it. The video was correct but I found it was NOT easy at all. FYI: On the 2009 Maxima, this filter is NOT behind the glove box as some posts have said. It is in front of the console. First, the latch on…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive
