Review on Stainless French Coffee Insulated Espresso by Megan Hartman

Got this as a Christmas present and used about 20 times. I use a coffee maker more often, but it makes a great cup of coffee. Unfortunately, it doesn't keep the coffee as warm as it originally did and gets very hot on the outside. Not very typical of double wall stainless steel. Does anyone else have this problem? I only hand wash and it was great when we used it, but it doesn't keep the coffee hot longer than it would in a ceramic mug! EDIT: I emailed the company very quickly about temperature loss and got this response: Hi Angel. Thank you for contacting our customer service department. I spoke to our brand manager regarding your question and here is his answer: Unfortunately, there is no warming effect with the French Press as there is a gap in the spout. It is double insulated, but that simply means "the effect of heat resistance and thermal insulation". Hope this helps answer your question! Sincerely, Shelly. They advertise that it keeps your drink at the optimal temperature, but then they say there is no heat retention. ? Confusing at best and doesn't really keep the temperature up unless drunk straight away.
