I'm very happy with the item. The cover is constructed well and I'm glad I bought this one over the other design with the pen loop inside. It does bleed dye as you can see in the pictures. It's not an issue with me as I carry it in the back pocket of jeans or darker work pants. The bleed onto the notebook sure seems like it would be an issue on lighter colored clothing though. Also in the last pic you can see where it wears through the field book cover, I am less than half way through that field book too. That is a problem with the field book's durability though, and not this covers fault. I just thought I'd mention my experience.
