Review on Andrea Electronics C1 1021450 1 Reduction Technology by Greg Boulden

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Hardware quality has gone down as others have said.

after about 10 uses, which can only mean inferior components in this area. Unfortunately, very few USB audio devices support the stereo mic inputs I need, so there aren't many options. To avoid this problem, just expect the connectors to die, so don't repeatedly plug or unplug anything, leave the cables plugged in and instead unplug the other end if you can. If you don't need stereo microphone inputs there is almost no reason to buy this device as there are many other much better quality USB audio devices whose manufacturers endorse their product. I've never seen connections fail so quickly on a 1/8" jack. I hope if I tape the cable in place it will hold up for a while, fingers crossed.

Pros
  • Small form factor, about the size of a flash drive, easy to carry with audio peripherals. The USB adapter allows you to use an audio device driver platform that supports Andrea PureAudio noise reduction technology and Andrea hardware peripherals.
Cons
