Review on Macally Rotatable Samsung Smartphones MCUPXL by Michael Norwood

Bought in mid-January 2019, very happy with the performance. Six weeks later, when I secured the product in the cup holder (by turning the clamp ring), the product clicked slightly and came loose. After this was repeated a few times during subsequent donning attempts for a week or two, the donning mechanism stopped working completely (it stopped extending the four legs in the cup holder). The seller's customer service was very friendly and promptly replaced the item, this time with four adhesive black rubber pads to improve the fit (presumably to prevent the legs from protruding past their limit). However, six weeks later (a few days ago) the second product failed just like the first. Now it repeatedly clicks when twisting the tension ring and the legs stop expanding, rendering the product unusable. There is no indication of when the tightening limit is reached (and when the product is loose in the cup holder there is a tendency to tighten further) so it's very easy to over-tighten and break. I give up. will come back and try another brand. Many thanks to the seller for the smooth handling of the return.
