Review on You Beat You Land Inline Outdoor Rollerblades Green 80Mm by Cesar Cook

Revainrating 4 out of 5

fun glowing wheels! Poor quality bearings.

Bought 4 sets of wheels, 2 sets green and 2 sets blue. Installed green on my Rollerblade Zetrablades. At first these things vibrate! They look great on the rollerdrome (the floor is made of urethane-coated roller boards). These wheels hit the ground like a monkey in a banana! I was able to lean into corners on transition without worrying about skidding through a corner. Amazing hold! The wheels are fantastic! Even the ice rink staff thought they were cool. I heard kids on the floor commenting on how cool these bikes look. Definitely took my standard beginner inline skates to the next level in looks and performance. The faster you go, the lighter those wheels get. The downside is that you need a little more when you're walking around the ice rink. However, the coolness of these bikes makes you want to ride longer and faster. There is some resistance from the solenoid system in the wheels. They slow down a little faster than usual. My standard wheels had ABEC 5 bearings. This wheelset came with ABEC 7 bearings installed. For some reason, my first thought when I first hit the ground running on these wheels with ABEC 7 bearings was that I was riding flat pebbles. This resulted in a slightly bumpy ride. The resistance of the solenoid goes through your skate and you can feel it with your feet. I think you get used to it and after a while you don't notice it as much. I took one of these wheels off today after skating last night to inspect the wheel and bearings as the wheel had a lot of free play when it was still skating. It wobbles back and forth when you wiggle the steering wheel. I made sure the axle shaft was really tight, but still checked for free wheel play. After disassembly, I found that these bearings wobble slightly between the center roller and the bearing-cup assembly. This was the same for all bearings on all wheels (for both skates), meaning all eight ABEC 7 bearings had that zero-backlash vibration. I checked my stock wheel bearings which are ABEC 5 for the same play and found that after running my stock wheels and bearings for 15 sessions of 2.5 hours each there was no play and no. I used these glow wheels once for 2.5 hours in one session and the bearings came loose. I wasn't impressed with the ABEC 7 rating or the quality of the bearings that go into these glowing wheels. I put my old bearings in these wheels, there is no play. I have to order a higher quality ABEC and wheel bearing for these glowing wheels. These wheels are great fun and will make you feel great when you're out on the rink with everyone else. 5 stars for fun. But I would rate the bearings fitted to these red hot wheels 3 stars. ***Updated 10/08/2018 - The 3 bearings that came with the kit I ordered blew up completely. This has created greasy deposits of dust and debris all over the magnet insert and it takes some effort to clean the magnet insert and the inside of the wheel track. To clean the insert you will need rags, cotton swabs and lots of scrapers. All other bearings are very loose, causing freewheeling when riding. This happened after just 18 hours of use, less than 4 months of use. If you order these wheels please buy them because you need glowing wheels. Do yourself a favor and ditch the bearings that came with the kit and buy good quality bearings. Still 4 stars for the light factor but less than 1 star for those terrible bearings. These are not ABEC 7 bearings. My original skates came with ABEC 5 bearings and they still hold up much better than the bearings in this kit. *** Update 4/26/2019 - I upgraded the bearings in my setup 4 months ago. Dragon bearings are installed, which greatly improves the rolling characteristics. There is noticeably less resistance when turning. However, you may still feel a slight drag on the magnet inserts caused by the passing coils (which light up the LEDs in the wheels) when moving slowly. No problem if you skate at normal to high speed. New bearings help me move faster and roll longer on the ground with less effort. Also, the wheels glow even brighter because I can go faster! I still love these wheels and highly recommend them because skating is even more fun when the lights go out!
