Ideal tool for working with ethernet cables

This tool was perfect for my needs. I ran 100 feet of CAT8 ribbon cable between a router in one room, through the attic, and into a guest room that has now become a home office during a COVID-19 "work from home" event. To do this, I had to route the cable through an interior wall without insulation and an exterior wall with insulation. This was my first time doing this and it was a lot easier than I feared. I taped every connection of the bars as a precaution to ensure they wouldn't come loose if I had any problems; what i didn't do See photo. One wall was only 2 feet from where the attic and exterior wall meet and about 1 foot from the roof, leaving not much room to work. The bars were flexible enough to easily withstand bending. This was a one off job so I can't confirm how durable the bars will be in the long run. But for the price and ease of use, they worked great. I recommend this product for DIYers who need to pull cords.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
