I was so excited to get this device to extend the range of my WiFi signals. It was easy to set up and I was ready to go. The green light came on and the signal indicators showed strong signals from the main router. But every now and then I noticed that the device broke the connection to my router (also DLink, by the way). The local extended WiFi signal was still there and I was still able to connect to this device, but the connection between this extender and the main router was lost. The signal indicators were completely OFF and the "Network Connected" LED was YELLOW, indicating the device was not connected. I had to unplug the device and plug it back in. This worked every time and connected the device to my router. But then the signal disappeared again. Initially it happened once a week but lately it happens daily or several times a day. It disconnects from my main wifi and if I turn it back on and turn it back on it reconnects with full signal strength. I don't know if it's a software bug, excessive susceptibility to power surges, or something like that. But it is NOT a reliable device. Despite its small size and decent performance (when it works), it just won't work. You want the router to be a "set it and forget it" device. Don't "install, forget, remember, reboot" device. I cannot recommend this device.
