I received both models offered by this manufacturer for review. One worked great, the other not so much. As far as I know there are only two Apple Pencils - 1st and 2nd generation. The 2nd generation worked right away with our new 12.9 M1. It's fast, lag-free, and accurate. It seems that the stylus offered for earlier models is not fully compatible with the 1st generation Apple Pencil. It will not pair with my iPad Pro 10.5. My wife's 2019 iPad Mini wasn't immediately happy either. Reassemble and restart Mini, everything worked as it should. To be fair, the actual model number of my 10.5 is missing from the list of compatible product descriptions for the 1st gen stylus, although Apple says it should work. I think there is a compatible chart in the ridiculously stupid super small instructions, but the chart is unreadable even with a 5x loupe. The pens feel and look good with a good length but they are a bit small for my large hands. . I also often turned them off as it only takes the briefest touch of the top to turn them off. Less than 1/5 the OEM cost, if any of these suit you, be sure to try them out.
